PLANNING
Develop a long term plan for tree
planting and greenspace improvement
and maintenance throughout
Centretown.
The plan will make clear linkages to related plans (such as the Centretown Plan), groups, and activities throughout the city, prioritize areas for improvement, provide criteria for spending the CCCA tree budget and raising future funds, and provide strategies for encouraging the participation of Centretown residents in tree planting, gardening and greenspace improvement in our neighbourhood.
ACTION
Organize and carry-out tree planting, gardening and greenspace improvement projects in Centretown which will be consistent with our long term plan.
Attend relevant community meetings (such as City of Ottawa park and greenspace open houses, Ottawa Forest and Greenspace Advisory Committee, etc.), report back to the Board and present CCCA opinions (that have been approved by the Board) on behalf of the Board.
Liaise with other community groups (such as school groups, community garden associations, friends of parks associations etc.), report back to the Board and present CCCA opinions (that have been approved by the Board) on behalf of the Board.
